Event Recap: Spring Equinox 2026

Spring is a season of renewal, rebirth, and new beginnings. It is a time to plant new seeds, to cleanse, and to encourage new growth.

With these themes in mind, we made an all-purpose cleaning spray with lemon peel, vinegar, and fresh seasonal herbs from our gardens (lemon balm, thyme, rosemary, & mint; soothing hand/body salve made with dehydrated aloe plants from our gardens, beeswax, and essential oils; and hand sanitizer with cooling aloe gel from plants in our garden, and grain alcohol.

For the hand sanitizer and the salve, we used recipes from the website Homestead and Chill - a great resource for ways to use what you grow.

There was also some puffy paint to jazz up our clothes/accessories of choice!
